 Hello everyone. Today I'd like to introduce Leon : The professional. Leon is an English language French action thriller film. It stars Jean Reno, Gary Oldman and Natalie Portman. This movie was directed by Luc Besson and came out in 1994. Luc Besson is a French film director, screenwriter and producer. He directed Nikita (1990), The Fifth Element (1997) and Arthur et les Minimoys (Arthur and the Invisibles) (2006), and produced or wrote The Transporter (2002), Taken (2008) and Colombiana (2011), and so on. Leon's box office was ＄46.1 million.

Jane Reno is a French actor. He has appeared in many films by director Luc Besson. He appeared in Le Femme Nikita (1990), Mission : Impossible (1996) and The Da Vinci Code. Natalie Portman is an actress, model and

filmmaker. She appeared in Star Wars Episode Ⅰ: The Phantom Menace, Anywhere But Here (1999), Star Wars Episode Ⅱ: Attack of the Clones (2002), Star Wars Episode Ⅲ: Revenge of the Sith (2005), Closer (2004) and Black Swan (2010). She received an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards.  Gary Oldman is an English actor and filmmaker. He appeared in Harry Potter series, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) and Darkest Hour (2017). He won an Academy Award, three British Academy Film Awards and a Golden Globe Award among many career awards.

The main character in Leon is Leon, played by Jane Reno. Leon is an Italian hitman who lives in New York. One day, he meets Mathilda Lando (played by Natalie Portman) who is his neighbor. Mathilda had an injury, so Leon asked her what happened to her. Mathilda said she fell down but that was a lie. Actually she was abused by her father and her half sister and her stepmother doesn't care about Mathilda so Mathilda only opened her mind to her young brother. The following day,
Norman Stanfield (played by Gary Oldman) and DEA agents stormed the apartment because they discovered that Mathilda's father had stolen their cocaine. Stanfield

murdered Mathilda's entire family while she went out. When she returned, she realized what happened in the her room of the apartment. Mathilda sought help from Leon. Leon was wary, but he protected her. Mathilda begged him to teach her his skills because she wanted to take revenge on Stanfield.

At first Leon was bewildered because of Mathilda's speech and behavior. That was very funny and good. Leon is an action movie , but I thought this movie was also a love story. Leon was a merciless hitman and Mathilda was a vengeful girl, but they loved each other. 

I liked Portman after I watched this movie. Mathilda was very refined and cool. I thought Mathilda's role can't be played by other actresses. My favorite scene is when Mathilda sang Madonna's "Like A Virgin". That was super cute, so I can't forget it. You should watch it right now!!
